Overview
The Pharmacy department at Neem Hospital is responsible for all medicines dispensed to outpatients, day patients and inpatients. They provide advice and support to medical and nursing staff in our hospitals and in the community.
The Pharmacy Team provide a high quality, professional pharmacy service, and is developing the use of IT to improve patient safety and efficiency.
Scope of Medical Care
The pharmacy provides a range of services involving:
- Dispensing hospital prescriptions for in-patients, out-patients and discharge patients
- Prescription surveillance and Clinical Pharmacy advice
- Distribution of medicines to wards and departments
- Formulary Management
- Medicines Information to answer enquiries and produce guidance
- Quality Assurance of medicines and environments
- Training and Development for pharmacy staff and others
